California Gold Nutrition® Superfoods Certified Organic Cacao (Theobroma cacao) Powder is sourced from farms in Peru. Once considered sacred by ancient Aztecs & Mayans, Cacao (a.k.a. "Food of the Gods") is a delicious and nutritious superfood which contains naturally occurring Methylxanthines (e.g.,Caffeine & Theobromine) & Polyphenolic Compounds (e.g., Flavanols). Our Unsweetened, Natural Process (Non-Alkalized) Cacao Powder is quite bitter due to the Polyphenolic Compounds and is best blended with sweet and savory flavors.
Suggested use
Take one serving daily. Blend with shakes or smoothies. Sprinkle over yogurt or oatmeal. Bake in your favorite recipes.
Note: 5 grams per tbsp is an average. Individual scooping technique may yield less or more than 5 grams.
